A New Hobby

hey guyss....

for some reason...i picked up a new hobby...
now i really like to write poems...
well, my cuz Sufi started writing poems in his hp
so i thought i'd give it a try

my first poem was abt my ummi
right after that poem...i just cant stop writing poems
i didnt tell Sufi of course....but surely he'd read this post

i made 4 poems abt the HOLY QUR' AN  just now(sorry for any spelling errors)...

Where Would I Be Without The Qur' an?
Where would I be without the Qur' an?
Would I be guided?
Would I be strong?
Would I be protected from evil and wrong?
Would I hear my Creator's Words?
Would I hear Him describe the birds?
Would I know the stories of the old?
Would I realize their worth in gold?

Where would I be without the Qur' an?
Would I find safety when others fear?
Would I find peace whilst sitting here?
Would I be happy when others are sad?
Would I be protected from going mad?
Would I be patient when things get tough?
Would I be firm when the seas are rough?

Where would I be without the Qur' an?
Would I get to know the One above?
Would I increase for him my love?
Would I be aware of the Day to come?
Would I value what is worthless to some?
Would I be able to sleep at night?
Would I be able to see with His light?

Where would I be without the Qur' an?
Would I have examples to follow?
Would I rejoice when others are in sorrow?
Would I have fear of the Burning Fire?
Would I be at the bottom of the sea,
And have hope, that one day, my Lord will release me?

The Divine Spectacle
Not for nothing am I a Miracle
See for yourself the Divine Spectacle

They dared to demand a mighty miracle
So produce something like this Oracle

Full of beauty, grace and charm
Nothing you can do to cause me harm

Tried very hard but miserably failed
Their bits of scrap behind me trailed

Placed fingers in their ears but I pierced their heart
If it is Allah’s will, from me you cannot part

If you read me before you sleep
A change will occur so very deep

Recital in the morning is beneficial too
Many blessings from me you will accrue

Yet you left me on a shelf as a tablet preserved
This is not something that I readily deserved

You used me in court for a mighty oath
But otherwise ignored which I totally loath

Kisses and soft cloth I do not need
Recitation of me will be your good deed

If only you practice what I say
Including Salaah regularly pray

Allah will increase your wisdom to the full
Open my cover and become delightful

Join the list of those inspired
Cover to cover you won’t get tired

Perfect principles within me you will find
Follow them if you will, and to your soul be kind

Life’s mysteries will unfold before your very eyes
The Creator’s marvels will take you to the skies

Alas, I am only read when someone’s dead
The graveyard is where you too will head

No evil shall touch you if I am with you
May Allah’s light descend upon you

Open my cover and see me bloom
Your brain and heart will soon run out of room

But what do I say to the living dead?
Everything to say has already been said

Kept and protected on a cupboard so high
I look down at the faithful and give a big sigh

I am not merely a book but Allah’s divine Word
Sent to be read and sent to be heard

Quran, the living miracle, a book so pure, so clear
The one who is prompt to recite it is free from all fear.
Revealed to our noble Prophet (SAW) by Gibraeel (AS) who took the lead,
The blessed angel who encouraged him to start with a simple - 'READ'.

The Qur' an was sent down by Allah (SWT) as a mercy to all mankind,
A book so glorious and powerful, no mortal can ever find.
Each verse of the Holy Qur' an is so filled with rhythm and beauty,
A reminder before Judgement for each one to fulfill their duty.

The Qur' an clearly states what is right from what is wrong,
It cleanses our heart of impurity and makes the weak minded strong.
It guarantees the pious and righteous a place they so desire,
A warning to all hypocrites to escape from Hellfire.

Even if all the oceans were transformed into ink,
You would still need more for this very thought to sink,
That the Words of Allah(SWT) can never be exhausted,
And can never be compared to anything concocted.

In your mind dear reader two options now you bear,
To either pick up the Qur' an or leave it lying there.
Now is the time for you to sit down and contemplate,
Are you going to struggle to make or break your fate?????

The miracle, the Quran
So brothers and sisters, to increase your iman
Read the miracle, read the Qur' an

Here's a fact for the ones who are keener
92 surahs revealed in Mecca, 22 in Medinah
Read it every day and to read it be proud
The word Qur' an means to read it aloud

Read the book from the Lord of the worlds
Over 6,000 verses and 77,000 words
Read with respect, no disturbance, no laughter
from Al Fatiha to An Naas, all 114 chapters

And in it 14 times you need to prostrate
And say Allah ho Akbar, meaning Allah is great
In this book, 25 prophets are mentioned by name
Who came at different times but their message was the same

This miracle was revealed over a 23 year span
Sent from Allah (swt), to an angel and then to a man
That man was Muhammad (saws), the best of creation
And we are proud to be part of his nation
He gave us a message and that was Islam
So read this miracle, read the Qur' an
